Nancy Littrell kindly told me about Loll's super fun blog event, Twelve Tags of Christmas. This tag was inspired by the colours of Loll's day 7 tag.
I started this by using my Smack & Squirt Technique - smack a distress ink pad ono a sheet of aluminium foil, squirt on a lot of water, then using a blending tool and sponge, mop up the coloured water and swish the sponge over the cardstock. To add more intense colour in some places, sponge on undiluted distress ink. I also gave the card a very light spritz with Izink (2 drops of Izink into a mini mister, 3/4 fill with water, it is like a pretty glimmer mist but not as intense).
The images were stamped using Ranger Archival ink, doodled border and also added red and silver stickles. Thank you for looking. Loll's fun event can be seen here .

Susie, you know I am SO fond of your incredible backgrounds and this is no exception! Welcome to Loll's tag challenge! I was unable to play again since I took the photo of my one tag and dropped my camera. It was pronounced dead right after that. I love the stamps you chose for this and the wonderful holiday colors!
I also love your name of that technique! It sounds SO much more fun than wrinkle free distress. I didn't know you picked up the color from your foil with a tool and sponge either. What a novel approach to this. Right into favorites, Susie!

WOW! You just create one gorgeous, intense background after another! I've tried it, but always end up with something akin to mud. I also have a problem stamping in layers - just can't seem to get the hang of it.
