This card is for Tam's VSN Challenge, to use the gorgeous photo she posted as inspiration.
I was having to tidy my craft room before I could start on the VSN challenges and in the process found some paper and card stock I had forgotten about.
The card stock was the exact same colour as the deer in Tam's photo so things went from there. This meant I needed to use a die instead of stamping (shock horror). The mauve paper was with the faun card stock and really appealed to me so it got incorporated too.
I attached the Mocha DP to the card base then the Mauve Shimmer paper, I then cut out the frame from the SU Mocha Morning DP.
Using the frame as a guide I cut out more of the Mauve Shimmer paper and backed that onto some white card stock to give it strength. I glued the line of trees to this and then mounted the deer cut from the motley faun card stock over the top with one layer of SU Dimensionals, I then attached the frame with double layers of cut to size SU Dimensionals.
I then attached the whole thing to the base of the card and added a further tree glued to the frame and supported by a triple lay of SU Dimensionals at it's base.
This one took a little longer 50 minutes to do the front of the card and a further 5 minutes to do the inside, which is square of the mauve shimmer paper mounted directly to the base and a strip of SU Mocha Morning DP across the bottom and some white card stock above the strip for writing on or a greeting.
Quite a different style for me but loved every minute of creating it.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers
Marg

Love your elegant die cut card, Marg! I'm with you, I usually stamp and color too...but I've been enjoying some die cut only projects myself! Thanks for playing along in "Frozen" VSN challenges!

This is really gorgeous. It's not often I don't have stamping somewhere on a card too, but this works really well.

This is so stunning! I love this winter scene...the glimmer paper is fabulous. I think I *need* to buy more die cuts! LOL
