For Kyra's Mixability challenge, I was really inspired by the yellows/rusts/turquoise colors of the pieces I saw on France's website. I started by fingerpainting some distress paints onto a small piece of white cardstock and I was too impatient to let it dry. I added some blue distress paint and it got kind of muddy. So I used my finger to tap some more blue paint all over it and set it aside. Once it was dry, I stamped the ATC stamp from Art Neko right onto the painted piece.
I needed a background and none of the cardstocks I tried looked right. So, since this is a mixability challenge, I looked for another medium and pulled out the Distress Stain Sprays and sprayed a background piece. Once it was mostly dry, I pulled out the blue distress paint and dabbed some all over the piece.
I wanted to grunge it up just a bit more so I dabbed more of the blue paint along the edges of the ATC piece as well as the background. I kept the rest of the card simple with some black strips and black matting.

I want to touch this. I really love the added dimension the blue paint gives, even where it's a bit muddy. You have to let the colors get to know each other! Beautiful work and thank you for playing!
