It was great yesterday to have time for a "just for fun" card - life is way too busy just now. I've been wanting to make a card setting this little polar bear in the Northern Lights, and while I still need to practice this technique, this is a lot better than my first and second attempts. You can find the tutorial HERE.
I made my background, then stamped the trees and painted white acrylic over the foreground. It picked up some colour from the inks, but I was happy with that. The polar bear was stamped on a scrap of cream Mi-Teintes pastel paper. I added lots of gel pen snow, and coloured the star silver. To finish it I just cut a frame with Labels 8 and dry-embossed it for a bit of texture.
Wondered about adding a sentiment but decided the chance of making a mess was too high, and anyway DH told me not to.

Oh Sabrina, this is just lovely. "Need more practic"??? You must be kidding. This us perfection. It looks like you have been doing this technique forever. I love the white gel pen and white acrylic paint affects. Your dry embossed frame is the ideal finishing touch. Right into my fave.

------------------------------ We as people are raindrops of colorful ink , falling down Crisp and Clear, each a different shade more vibrant then the last, but once we realize at the bottom of an endless abyss we all fall into the same inkpot forming one color, only then can we come together as one My son.
Oh my word! This went straight into my faves. I tried this technique and mine turned out terrible so I am sitting here in awe! It isn't easy to create such a masterpiece with this technique! Pretty dusting of snow on the branches. With the sky and the way you placed your snow it feels like I am peeping into an arctic stormscape. Stunning!
