I kept the soft blue colour scheme, the embossed falling snow, and the tree theme. But used for the first time, pan pastels for my background. They blend so beautifully. I did the background in light blue and a darker blue, then stamped the tree in Versamark, then went over the tree with a greeny-blue pan pastel which immediately brought out all its detail. I then used embossing paste and the falling snow stencil and added some clear glitter to it while wet. Ran a bit of glue along the bottom and added glitter there too. I used three small die cut birds for extra texture and stamped a small tag with "let it snow".
Thanks for the inspiration, Bonnie! And if anyone is interested in joining in with Loll's mixed media Christmas tag event, here's the link:

This is so pretty Susan. LOVE the soft blue background and the colour of the tree ... hmmm, pan pastels ... looks like I have to go shopping! Love the sparkle of the glitter of your falling snow. The tiny tag on the tag is so sweet! Thanks for joining my tag event, mf! xx

Gorgeous tree and mixed media background Susan. TFS your description too. A really nice CASE of Bonnie's Lovely as a Tree tag, but still all your design. TFS my friend.

This is much better than mine, Susan! I almost didn't post it. That's such a pretty tree and I love the bluebirds! I'll have to look into the pan pastels. No, wait, I still have Gelatos and Twinkling H2o's to try out before I buy anything else. So many toys. So little time. I'm honored that you would want to CASE me, my friend.
You and Bonnie and Loll are three of my favorite card artists and it's awesome that you are CASEing each other. Your sweet scene on your tag is splendid!! Hugs, Darnell

Susan, your case of Bonnie's card is really pretty. I have not used Pan Pastels but I certainly do love your results! The blue birds are an extra treat!
