This is my card for the HYCCT1424 challenge "Resist, being resilient, shining through, coming out on top!" - to use any resist technique on your card. I chose to do a VersaMark resist.
I stamped the bg with VersaMark and let it dry for a couple of hours before sponging with Broken China and Salty Ocean Distress inks. When it was dry I ran it through my computer to print the sentiment, not even thinking that the printer ink would be affected by the VersaMark, too. Duh!
I snipped the bird from a the Birds on a Wire sb die cut and colored him with the same colors, adding just a touch of Black Soot. The branch was cut and also colored with Distress inks using an eye makeup applicator. I used Gathered Twigs, Mowed Lawn, SPiced Marmalade and Ripe Persimmon. The branch is attached directly to the layer with Sookwang tape and the leaves are attached with tiny pieces of a rolled strip of Sookwang. The bird is popped on foam tape.
As always, thanks for looking!

I love this Versamark resist. Must try it on photo paper, since I can get that more easily than "real" glossy card. Love birds, love music - love this card .
