When I saw this challenge last night, I thought yes, I can do that. This palm leaf die is perfect, well except for the creases that show on the sides. I know Joan said lighter weight c/s works better, and maybe just for this reason. So a learning experience for me and all of us.
After embossing with the die, I colored in the non raised parts of the leaves with the Versa Mark pen. In most places, I did the embossing in two layers. I'm undecided as to which looks better, a single layer and more texture, or what you see here.
This embossing power is such a fine powder, that no matter what you do, it leaves it's pearly residue on the c/s. I did manage to get most of it off, but there is still a fine layer of ep, giving the card a nice glow.
Now I goofed big time with stamping the sentiment. No way to cover it up, so it is what it is.

Awesome Jennifer! Its funny I didn't even notice the sentiment oops until you mentioned it. Just goes to show you that the MAIN focus is on that awesome leaf! The pearly color of this really ROCKS and your framing of this in that delicious shade of green is genius. LOVE this....
