I got confused last night and did 17 before 16 but never mind here is 16 now.
The card is for Paula's HYCCT challenge;
We care a lot about our hair. We have good hair days and bad hair days. It's kind of a beauty stand-by. What do you do when that's gone? My hope is that you find a new way to feel beautiful. In honour of all the cancer fighters who have to deal with hair loss and find new ways to feel beautiful, we are going to make beautiful cards without using a stamping stand-by, stamps. You can use dies, stickers, paint, your handwriting, a postcard, anything and everything that isn't a stamp!
Challenge: Make a project without using any stamps. Have fun letting other techniques and tools shine! (You can stamp an inside sentiment if you'd like.)
I've used dies instead of stamps for this card and also a technique I saw over on one of Jennifer McGuire's You Tube videos. (I tried to put a link in here but couldn't find the video sorry)
You take a die, any sort (Jennifer used a medallion) and cover it with VersaMark ink then cover that with embossing powder silver works best, you then randomly stamp more VersaMark ink onto the die but don't completely cover it this time and then you cover that with gold embossing powder, heat that up and while the die is still hot from the heat gun dump it in the silver again shake off the excess and heat again. What you end up with is an image that looks like it is slightly burnished metal.
Jennifer cut her medallion in half and then mounted it either side of a greeting, I've gone for a slightly easier method.
Hope you like it
Cheers

As my kids would joke, "I don't like it....I love it!" The beautiful paper you diecut your window from along with the dark bg paper make a great showcase for the lovely embossed sentiment! Gorgeous card!

Absolutely breathtaking! This is so elegant! The paper is beautiful, the window gives it so much dimension, and that sentiment is super! I am going to have to hunt for that video! Thanks so much for going stampless for Hope You Can Cling To!

Beautiful! Very pretty paper, love your color combo of the pink & grey. Very cool technique you used for the word die cut, thanks for sharing it! I love the script of that Hugs die, I think I need it! I don't usually do the challenges in order myself. I like to have several to think on then do whichever comes to mind first or ideas I'm in the mood to try.
