Vicki is our Color Challenge hostess this week, and she picked a combo that was a little challenging for me, but the dessert option made my decision pretty easy. Dessert was to use a word die (or a big sentiment).
I have a total of one word die, an old one from SU called Bring On The Cheer. It has several words strung together, and I was able to snip "Joy" out from the group, hence my die-cut word.
The challenge colors are Marina Mist, Midnight Muse and Gumball Green. I did have Marina Mist, but no Midnight Muse and no Gumball Green, so I substituted Night of Navy and Garden Green.
New toys on this card, Impression Obsession Fancy Tree dies, MFT Stitched Snow Drifts, and the SU stencil. I am still in love with embossing paste (which I did not use on this card), but my new other favorite tool is my Wink of Stella brush. It doesn't show up in the photo, but all the stars and the word are covered with just a "wink" of sparkle. 2-way glue and glitter on the star on top of the tree.
This card is also for this week's Christmas Card Challenges, Anything Goes.
Please come join us for this week's Color Challenge, and thanks for looking!

Love all those stars and swirls, Barbara. I have a new wink tool and forget to use it! I can see the glisten on the tree top even in the photo. Great work with the colors this week!

Barbara! Fantastic trim job on that Joy die....I never would have known if you hadn't told us! It is so perfectly tucked in among those great stitched snow drifts and your tree is wonderful with the glittery star on top. Great Job!!
