I went a bit literal for Bridget's "My Hero" challenge, but I made this with the nurses in mind. When I was undergoing chemo, I refused to do a port. I have deep veins that are stubborn, no matter how much water I drink, how many squeezes a stress ball gets or how long I sit with warm blankets on them -- getting a vein was never easy. More than once, the first nurse would go to find a ringer and I'd look like I'd been in a fight. Of course, 16 rounds of chemo take their toll and 3 years (YEAH!!!) later, I'm still a hard stick! So I send this out to all of the nurses out there who work with {ahem} stubborn patients, who don't make their lives easier.

Cammy, it's joy to read your card description just hearing that you've been healthy after going through all that! And your first hand experience of the great dedication and patience shown by the nurses puts you in a perfect place to create a card in tribute to them - fun and sweet, it's bright and vibrant too - the layered colourful city and cute supergirl have a fab comic book look. Love this! Thanks for sharing your card and your hero story with us for this challenge!
