After my small disaster of a first card, I had to make a second IC challenge card. I chose this return address label as my inspiration this time. Using the stencil as a mask, I sponged the background with four different shades of ink. Then I sponged three colors (two oranges and a yellow) onto another piece of cardstock and stamped the butterfly strategically (using my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig) so that the darker oranges would be at the edges of the butterfly wings. Then I cut it out and popped it onto the background. I think Stippled Butterfly is my very favorite butterfly image! The background isn't quite Bokeh, but I stuck that HYCCT keyword on it anyway.

I love the varied colors of the dots; they make the card so interesting. I am also intrigued by the way you did the colors for the butterfly. My inclination is to stamp first and then sponge the colors, but I'm always afraid I'll smear the black image that way. How clever to sponge first and then stamp. I will definitely try that, so thank you for the idea and inspiration! This card is so lovely!
