I am playing along with Robin's irRESISTible HYCCT1424 challenge to use any RESIST technique.
I chose gesso resist. It's one of my favorite techniques and it's been awhile since I used it so I thought today would be a good time to get out my gesso and PPRS Raven Branch Silhouette stamp.
I was afraid my card ended up being a bit too somber so I added the ribbon. IRL it really DOES match the bg and it softens the overall appearance of the card.
Wow, I really like the results of the gesso technique. Makes for a wonderful background paper and really sets off a silhouette image. I like how you continued with the bg for your sentiment. Beautiful card, Angie.

Your clip/ribbon was a nice touch, although I don't think the card would have looked too somber without it. I've never tried gesso resist (no gesso!), but it really looks nice.

Oh wow Angie! Love this card and you gesso technique! Love the ribbon too, those threads running through it probably matches perfectly! Love the simple yet heartfelt sentiment as well! AND those are my favorite colors together...I wear them all the time!
This is a brilliantly irresistible card, heehee! Thanks for playing!

So beautiful, Angie! Lovely colors...perfect matting! You know the first thing I noticed? The bg looks like the silhouette of a girl with her prayer cap on facing to the right. Check it out!
