I DID NOT COLOUR THESE....I know caps is like shouting, but I didn't want anyone to think I actually coloured these.
These two quick cards are for Debbi's fun challenge to use tissue paper. I used Beates great Faux Silk tutorial. Check it out here .
I used a paper napkin with four gorgeous flowers on it. I mucked up the first 2 - I wasn't paying attention and didn't realise I was using 3ply tissue napkins. I found the best adhesive was 2" wide double sided tape, I stuck it on scrap cardstock and then after scrunching the tissue, carefully placed it on the tape.
The words "weddings" and "craft" seem to give sellers a license to treble prices. I found 50 yard rolls of 2" wide double sided tape in the hardware store for $4, my local craft shop charges $25!!!!!
I hope you are joining in all the fun of HYCCT. For details of this challenge and all the previous challenges can be found here .
Thank you for looking.

Smart thinking, Susie. And, I am thinking there is a name for the technique when it's done with printed tissues, only I've always read of people using saran wrap or something like that which you are meant to iron to adhere it to the single ply of tissue. And it's NEVER worked for me, I bet even I could manage with a double-sided sticky sheet. Very effective cards and a great take on the challenge.

Susie, your shouting cracked me up. These are beautiful! Such pretty napkins and a great technique to use with them. They look like pieces of art that should be hanging on a wall, not in an envelope! Good score on the tape! Thank you for playing in my challenge!

Gorgeous cards - the card base texture is amazing, the sentiment is classic and stunning. I do this 'hot card' technique a lot with pretty napkins and patterned tissue paper (my traveling friends all know to bring me back pretty papers from their travels and I get a lovely assortment from different countries).

WOW! Napkins - gorgeous! Reminds me - I have a bunch of print napkins that I've never used - have to go get them. I don't remember any being as dramatic as these.
