I hope you're participating with us during this years Hope You Can Cling To Challenge and card drive. It's such a worthy cause, and to sweeten this wonderful card drive, our Splitcoaststamper member companies are giving away $5,000 in prizes! Isn't that amazing?!
This is my card for Robin's HYCCT Challenge -Resist, being resilient, shining through, coming out on top!
My background panel was created with a Gesso resist technique using a Stampendous background stamp, and my focal panel was created with Rangers Texture Paste and a Dreamweavers stencil.
I used Ranger Distress Inks and a water pen to paint, and once everything was dry, I added some glossy accents for just a little more dimension. Believe it or not, the card does not have that much bulk and would still go through the mail nicely I believe. Although it is difficult to see, I've added a wink of stella which gives this piece some nice sparkle. This is the first card I've used this product on and I have to say that I love it as much as I do the Krylon Gold Leafing pen. It's subtle and provides a soft glitter without over doing it. Thank you to our hostess, Robin, for taking the time out of her busy schedule to give of her time and talent. We appreciate you, Robin!
Let's Lift someone up and send some encouragement by playing along in this HYCCT Challenge with some beautiful handmade cards from the heart. You can find us here.

Oh, Susie, this is gorgeous! I love the techniques you've used and how beautifully it turned out!! Wow! I agree with Peggy that you've really achieved some stunning results! Beautiful coloring of your Dreamweaver stencil image, and yes, you have a steady and creative hand, my sweet friend! And even the lovely gold corn bow is perfection in how it is placed and hangs so beautifully! Hugs!

I love to see the Dreamweaver stencils get used. I remember when they were quite popular. I think they may be making a bit of a comeback. I actually bought some gesso to try this technique with but wasn't paying attention and bought some quite runny stuff. Will have to go shopping again because this is going right into my favourites for casing later! Lovely card!
