Gail's (mamaxsix) wonderful HYCCT1418 challenge is to illustrate the idea of staying connected.
When I read Gail's challenge I knew just which image I wanted to use. This was the first time I have had the chance to ink up this cutie. To be honest it actually means a bit more to me now, then when I bought it. We only recently became smart phone users and oh my, how fun it is to stay connected to friends and family. I have had so much fun staying connected with my sister through FaceTime and we have even played a few games together! Janeen and I have stamped together several times via FaceTime, it's the next best thing to being in the same room.
I used MFT's weekly sketch to help me out with my design. I thought it was cool that there is a diagonal strip in the sketch as it "connects" the edges of the card.

Angie this is fantastic and so perfect for Gail's fun challenge. I love your story and title. Last week a teenager asked to take a photo of my mobile phone....she said she soooo loves vintage stuff. I'm not sure if she meant me or my 15 year old Nokia phone LOL. I digress....all of your cards are wonderful Angie. xx

I totally love the sentiment and your image is perfect. I love how your smart phone is helping you to connect across the miles with friends and family-I love Skype for that too! I do love that strip that reaches across and connects your card as well as the way you connected the dp on her cell phone skin with the banner on the sketch!

Cute card, Angie! Love the pink smart phone. I'm afraid I have a dumb phone (doesn't do anything but make and receive phone calls). One of these days I'll get into the 21st century!

Oh my, she must have gotten the LATEST edition of the IPhone which is now the size of an old laptop! She can probably stay in touch with her 30,000 Facebook friends at once. : ) Cute card with a cute image and sweet bg DP.
