There are a few challenges covered in this card to-day. The sketch challenge of course but also CAS294 to 'poke a hole', and the imbedded die cut tutorial in the newsletter. The imbedded flower is cut from Joy Craft cutting, emboss and embroidery die and stitched with sulky metallic thread and sponged on the outside with black soot to give it definition. I embellished the sketch with lines and script from Peel-offs stickers.

So beautiful, Sue! The inlay is a beautiful way to use this embroidered die cut! Would you believe that I still have not done any embroidery using this die cut, I'd say it's past time!

Your embroidered die cut id beautiful and embedding it really was a lovely way to mount it on your sympathy card. I like the dark "hushed" tones you used for the rest of your card....they seem so appropriate for the occasion.

This is lovely! You did a great job of combining all those elements into one coordinated look. I love the rose colored flower and the "sooty" sponging. Thanks for sharing this awesome card!

I have this paper stack and I just LOVE it and you have done an amazing card with it. Your sponging on the one panel adds and amazing affect. Your stitching with the red metallic thread is awesome...and your inlaid technique makes this card a favorite for sure!
