I loved this sketch, but didn't have time to finish it until now. It changed a few times from the drawing board to "actual" but I love it.
I used two different kinds of dp for the background, and another scrap under one leaf. I die cut the leaves and inked the edges and glued them where I liked them. (This changed many times) I also liked the scrap under one leaf for a little more color.
Since I just couldn't find another piece of dp that I like well enough for the half circle on the bottom, I just drew it in with pencil. I love it.

Wow I love the embossing on the leaves; it gives it so much depth. I agree with you, the pearl paper against the wood grain really looks good together.
