Bridget's (bfinlay) challenge was to make a card inspired by a personal hero. I really had a hard time with this, as I have a few heroes in my life. Well, I guess I can make a few more cards for each of those heroes...but this card is for an instructor I had while I was in nursing school. She was a young teacher, in her thirties, and Miss Sally Sherry never let her students know that she was battling Multiple Sclerosis. In spite of her personal struggles, she was an awesome clinical instructor, who inspired me to become a critical care nurse, something I have done for 25 years. Because of Miss Sherry, I am certain that I have made an impact on many, many patients and families (hopefully in a good way!). She was an excellent example to me of a caring, compassionate, and proficient clinical nurse. I will never forget how she inspired my career choice.
This is my first year trying the Hope You Can Cling to Challenges. It's not difficult, and it's fun! Are you playing along with us? If not, you're missing out on the chance to lift the spirits of women battling breast cancer at MD Anderson, and also the chance to win more than $5000 in prizes from your favorite crafty companies. So what are you waiting for? Get to stamping!

I was very touched by your story of Nurse Sherry - it just show how far reaching a positive influence can be! This is a fabulous tribute, I LOVE this image, seeing the fabulous cards made with it, I'm thinking I just might need this one! I love your colour scheme with the light aqua and red and the pretty papers you chose! Thanks for sharing your hero story in this challenge!
