HYCCT challenge is about heroes! My hero is one of my very best friends...she has fought MS as long as I've know her, is now fighting cancer, has family members with serious illnesses and through it all, she always, always puts others first - including me when I need someone to talk with. She is a woman of great character who has taught me so much about life and living it to the fullest. I have always admired her, loved her, trusted her and looked up to her. She is indeed "MY HERO"!

Vicky - you are so, so blessed to have a friend like this and your card is a beautiful tribute - the sentiment is so very true and just perfect for a tribute for this challenge. I love the black accents, which add a striking touch. Thanks for sharing this card and your appreciation for this dear friend.

What a great tribute to your best friend. I think you should frame the card and your comments! The card is lovely; I like that you repeated the butterfly motif and kept the rest of the background simple. Nicely done!

Vicky, I am so touched to read about the wonderful friend you have that inspired your beautiful card. How lucky to have someone like that in your life. Your card has a wonderful feminine feel to it with the butterflies and lacy border, but the words really stand out.

Oh my friend, what a fabulous card. Your friend sounds worthy of being a hero. That sentiment is right in keeping with your description of her. How lucky you are.

It sounds like you have quite a special friend, Vicky! What a blessing to have her in your life! Beautiful tribute to her, I especially love the butterflies since they go through quite an ordeal before actually becoming one~
