Sabrina's challenge...and a challenge it was....to construct the top layer of our card using no adhesives of any kind. I used ribbon to anchor my two holly leaves and button. That was a challenge in manual dexterity itself! : ) The bg was done by smearing TH inks on a craft sheet, spraying with water and then placing the white paper face down on it to pick up the color. Mr. H's sprays were used next and lastly I sprinkled on large water drops.

You did a great job on this Sallie! I love the white and green combo for a holiday card...so fresh! Those white holly leaves attached with the ribbon and button are a wonderful embellishment.

What a CAS beauty, Sallie. Since I struggle tying ribbons through holes (and gave up totally on a sample I was making for a challenge later this month and ditched the button) I can identify with the demands on your manual dexterity today. I just love the white leaves against the green - very lovely, almost like ghost leaves. Thank you for playing along and Holding It Together so beautifully.

I LOVE this! Your subtle sponging on your leaves is just beautiful and your background ROCKS! Kudo's on the tying your holly leaves through the button holes to your card front...brilliant idea! I LOVE this Christmas card...
Beautiful card. The background panel really makes the white embossing and elements pop. You did really good with this difficult challenge. Clever using ribbon and button to attach your Christmas leaves.

Your backgrounds are as beautiful as your talent for water color, Sallie! What a simple design yet it has so much style and class! Beautiful holiday card!
I have a layer sitting in my "homemade bg" box that I created with the same technique and color!!! Hmmmm.....I need to make something up with it so you can see! LOL (I might even have to borrow your white embossing idea!!) I love your large white holly leaves and embossed sentiment. Looks fabulous with the green!
