Sabrina this was a challenging challenge!! That was my first thought but then it wasn't so bad once I got into it. I was glad that you could at least tape your bottom layer to the card. I embossed my dp and then sewed it on a backing layer. The little girl image was attached using tiny brads and the sentiment heart was tied on with twine.

See - you can do it after all, and with a little thought it's not that hard to Hold It Together . Thanks for playing along, Polly; I do love those tiny little brads. Your colour palette is gorgeous, too.
Such a sweet card, Polly. I absolutely love that image and what a great idea to attach your heart with twine. This challenge was really good in making you think of different ways to attach parts of a card.

Such a sweet vintage image, Polly, on your lovely card. The DP combined with the embossing gives such a warm "quilted" feeling. You used multiple methods to construct your "no adhesive" main panel.
