This is my card for this weeks colour chlallenge to use Elegant Eggplant, Crushed Curry and Garden Green. One of these colours I like, one I rarely use and the other I've never used, so it was a real challenge for me. I went thru several failed attempts at making something before I finally found my groove with this lot.
I liberally washed my watercolour paper with Crushed Curry re-inker and then did some ghost stamping into the background. I then direct stamped some images and textures in with a light hand. I used the watercolour stamping technique with the foliage, The flowers were stamped onto Whisper White paper, cut out, shaped and popped up.
I used lots of stamps from sets including
- Field Flowers (of course) SU!
- Baroque Motifs SU!
- Friends 24-7 SU!
- Stem Silhouettes SU!
- Botanical Blooms SU!
- Gingham Impression Obsession

Your talent is ROCKING this week...This is FABULOUS! I must admit I had a hard time seeing these colors together but your card is REALLY gorgeous. Your background is one of the most beautifully crafted ones I have seen in a while. I would say you definitely hit one out of the park with this amazing beauty!

Wow....way to go, and being out of your normal comfort zone, you so rocked this. I saw the colors and just like you about the same, like the eggplant, but dont use oranges or yellows and browns much and the green just for leaves and grass, so I chickened out from this challenge, glad you didnt beautiful results, lovely coloring and very neat bg...TFS...:0)
