 | | I made this as a sample for Susie's "Heart Song" HYCCT challenge which you can find HERE.
I was delighted to have a chance to use my new bird stamps - especially when the set included such a perfect sentiment.
The base layer is from my scrap box - I think I'd just misted it with some DIY mister to empty the bottle out!
I stamped the bird, masked it and then stamped a whole bunch of leaves in brown and red. Then I stamped the sentiment before embossing the card. I coloured all the embossed leaves in the top half, and the bird, with pencils. Added some spots of white acrylic paint, layered it onto a white base and edged it with black pen doodles. To take away the stark whiteness of the base I sponged the edges with ColorBox Moss Green.
