As soon as I saw the theme was 'Tree' for this weeks Ways To Use It Challenge I knew I was in my element. Some stampers have a soft spot for butterflies, mice or sweet little girl images, but I love my trees. As soon as I saw this Dreamweaver die of a stand of trees I knew I had to have it because it reminded me of Australian Gum trees.
I colour washed with dye ink (SU!) some watercolour paper, paying attention to adding colour to particular areas so that when I cut out the trees the tops would be green and the trunks brown. I then coloured a second piece of water colour paper to use as a background, loosely painting in a landscape and a sunset. The die cut was then simply layered on top of the background with dimensionals.
