I was looking at Digi's on Pinterest and saw this one of Tutankhamun. In the 9th grade I took Ancient History, then we moved and in the new school Ancient history was given in the 10th and American History in the 9th - just the opposite of my previous school. So I took Ancient History twice (same textbook) and never took American History. Didn't mention it to anyone until after I graduated, because I love ancient history. I used a bright blue foil as accents - check out his foil earrings. Dies: SB/Rectangles, MB/Alphabet Soup - H in Hello is TL/sentiment. EF: SU/Sq. Lattice and LFC/Chain.

Brings back memories of my trip to Egypt in the 90's(glad I went when I did). This mask and the other treasures from his tomb filled ROOMS at the Egyptian Museum. The splendor of it all is unimaginable! You did a lovely job of coloring the mask and the foil earrings are a nice touch. A lovely card with the colors of lapis and turquoise. (I like ancient history too). : )

Great card! You know, the only place outside the US that I've ever wanted to visit is Egypt! If I had my life to live over again, I would have been an archeologist. Now I just read about it! I did get to see a Rhamses exhibit in Jacksonville years ago! I love the colors you used in your card.
I find it really fascinating how you chose a digital image based on a childhood experience. Love the story and love your card. Great color choices and so glad you pointed out the foil earrings. What a perfect touch.

Ha...cute story.....I love ancient history too....there's nothing like a big, beautiful historical novel that you can lose yourself in. For the life of me I can't remember the name of the book but did you read a book by Wilbur Smith about ancient Egypt where the protaganist was name Taita? Fabulous book! Your card is beauiful.....love the image!
