I couldn't resist making another Bridget Finlay inspired card. (She is our featured stamper). One of Bridget's many talents is her use of color. I loved this card she made and tried to capture the essence of it: WT493 Spritzed Wildflowers by bfinlay at Splitcoaststampers
I wet my wc cs and then added distress inks, tipping the paper and adding ink until I liked how it looked. Then I laid a wet stencil on top of the still-wet ink and held it down for a bit. When you take the stencil off it leaves this cool texture and design. Then I stamped the flowers and embossed with clear. I adhered it to my card front leaving a narrow margin which I filled in with a blank piece of wc cs because I like the even surface this creates. Added a sentiment and sequins.
Thanks again, Bridget!

Oh, I LOVE this technique of stencil watercolor stamping (I wonder if that's what it's really called?) and the result here is gorgeous vibrant colour - the greens and yellows all blues all blended make a fresh, fresh pretty combo - and the silhouette is just like I like 'em - strong, bold and striking! Very, very pretty card, Maura, thanks for doing another one!

You've created a beautiful card here. I love the colors you chose - rich and bright and spring-ish. I love how the background texture echoes the little stems of berries in your silhouette - it's just one of those details that makes this card special!
