Lydia did a wonderful tutorial on ink etching. I pulled out an old, neglected set and had some fun. I wasn't happy with my end result...before painting with the pearlescent watercolors, but loved the end result. With the flowers masked, I took a paint brush dipped in green pearlescent and flicked onto the white.

Those petals look so realistic and velvety-soft with your etching and then the pearlescent watercolours! What a pretty card - thanks for helping to celebrate 500 TLC challenges.

Pam, your card turned out gorgeous!! I love how you painted your flowers. You always have excellent ideas on how to make things sparkle. The raffia and the flecks of color really are nice additions as well. Fun crafting with you today. :>)

Pam, you have MUCH more patience than me to add all those etching lines...but they look GREAT!! (Maybe I should take more time with my card crafting.) : ) Love the peachy pearlescent tones of your roses. Lovely card design.
