It's not very often that I get to do a challenge anymore, but can't resist today's stencil challenge. I used a technique of laying the stencil over a color wash bg while wet, as demonstrated in the Watercolor for Cardmakers Online Class. It requires setting things on the stencil to weigh it down so that the stencil is pressed into the wet paint/ink and then letting it dry. The die-cut leaves are popped up and the sentiment is added on a strip of vellum. I used SNSS Leaf Silhouette stamps and the newly released Leaf Silhouette dies.

I'm glad you made time to join in and describe the new technique. I think I'd like to try this with my new starry stencil - whenever I can find some spare time. I love the soft, warm colours - it's turned pretty grey down here the last couple of days.
