For today's Ways to Use it challenge we were to use stencils. I used a dreamweaver stencil and their black embossing paste that I purchase a couple of years (or more) ago and rarely use. It's just kind of messy. At least it is for me. I did a couple of these and this is the better looking. I do like the result. Plus I finally purchased a craft mat for my table so clean up is super easy now. And I end up with a lot of clean up!! After the paste dried, I cut it down, layered it on the yellow CS, added the ribbon and button. The big daisy was stamped, colored with copics and fussy cut. I decided the yellow center needed some thing more, so I added some yellow stickles. The only copics that can be seen are light gray for the shading.
Thanks for the fun challenge and for taking a look!

Oh my goodness! This is remarkable! I LOVE that background. If you hadn't described how it was made I would have thought it was some fancy DP. I think the texture the paste gave your background is well worth the effort. (says the person who isn't cleaning it up!) The black, white, and yellow colour scheme is so dramatic. What a beautiful card!
