| | I just hate wasting test scraps. That’s what this card started as. I was playing with the new Heidi Swapp Magic Medium and a Claudine Hellmuth stencil - trying to figure out how to keep definition when using the medium with words and fine lines. If you are not familiar with Magic Medium, it creates a resist. I must say it takes a little practice but the result is beautiful once you get it figured out. I used the opaque medium (white) alone for the bottom “happy” and the clear medium mixed with bronze color shine for the top “happy”. I then misted a portion of the panel with the bronze CS – and wiped off the resist with a tiny bit of Windex on a paper towel. So that was the end of my test. Before dropping the panel in the waste basket, I thought “what if I die cut the word Happy and placed it between the two samples”. Ta Da! A groovy teen birthday card! The stamped sentiment is Avery Elle from the Cake and Candles set. |
