I thought of this die as soon as I saw this rug on the IC site: http://surya.com/rugs/butterfly/bfy-6804/
Of course, I couldn't just do it in brown. I made some grasses with my oil pastels in all different colors , die cut my butterflies (which do not cut all the way, only the wings) and stamped my sentiment with VersaMark then used white EP to heat set. I then sprayed my bg with 4 colors of Dylusions and pour chunky salt on it then let it air dry. Next I used a wide mesh to stencil texture paste, let it air dry. Lastly, and this is where I kept messing up ( 4 attempts on this card), I used some Inka gold. I painted it on, after thinning with water, the butterflies...I like this best. Then I used my finger to spread it on the paste, let it dry then buffed. I used black under the butterflies on the larger card (6 1/2 X 4 5/ .
