What a fab site. I received a 'Maxine' desk calendar for Christmas from an ATC friend. I love Maxine's attitude and my friend reminds me so much of her..in look and attitude! LOL I have had this page sitting on my 'collector' desk since May and so when I saw this piece of art http://surya.com/clearance/wall-deco...ecor/rwl-3060/ I thought it was a great opportunity to use it. I used Gorgeous Grunge to stamp the background then embossed the piece with a Darice folder. I coloured the Maxine image slightly with prisma pencils and OMS and added it to the background with some Washi tape. This is not intended to be a serious 'art' card...just a touch o' humour for ta lighten your load. Enjoy.

Oh, you are quite a character yourself, Sue! Love the washi tape holding your image down and all those bright colors in the bg to show off your drabby colored image! Very well done~

You made me laugh - first because of the pairing of Maxine and grunge and washi tape; next because the inspiration piece you picked is on clearance sale. Somehow it just fits! In spite of your description, I think the card has lots of "artsy-crapsy" details.

Oh my do I LOVE this! What a great combination of artistry and poking fun! I am in the age group of the newly retired and so many of my friends are looking for hobbies. I think they think my scrapping/card making hobby belongs to the artsy crapsy category for sure. :-) This is absolutely wonderful!
