Today's inspiration site is Surya's Home Design, particularly designs by Candice Olsen (although we were given permission to use other design inspiration). I decided to stick with those by Candice because I too am a fan of HGTV's Divine Design show. I chose this rug because it reminded me of a stencil I just purchased. I didn't want to cover up the design so, after sponging on the two shades of brown, I just added a sentiment banner -- very clean and simple!

Terrific, inspired card Lois! Love that stencil and your two shades of brown. I'm glad you added a simple banner sentiment so the lovely stenciling is in full view.

Great take on your inspiration piece - it does remind me of this stencil! There was a different rug, or pillow that also reminded me of this stencil (which I also have) and I came very close to going with that.
