I had never heard of dry embossing with a stencil. I emailed Cheery Lynn with a question and was surprised to receive a call in response, just 10 minutes later, from Mike Dywan. After he answered my question, we chatted for a few minutes and he asked if I had tried using a STENCIL for embossing. So I decided to take it one step further and try in-die embossing, using a stencil. It was so easy using my new Crossover, because I can dial in the pressure I want. Not only did I get a great emboss, but I sponged color on while it was still in the die and stencil. Got this awesome dimensional emboss, without the mess of paste and didn't corrupt the embossed edges of the rectangle! Guess who's looking to add to her stencil collection, now. Love my new Crossover machine! Dies: CL/Tiny Things w/Wings, SB/Card Creator Rectangle, IO/Greetings Set and Britainia/021 set. Stencil is Heidi Swapp/Honeycomb.

Woo Hoo! This is so clean and crisp - it's great! I wrote down how to emboss with a stencil long ago but never tried it. the golden color is perfect, and the theme of the card is adorable!

Wowsers! I was sure you used a paste with that stencil! What an amazing effect. I love it! The crisp edges to the colouring are so attractive and your little bee and sentiment the perfect accompaniment. Super card!

Fabulous and favorited! I can see where your new machine would make this work so much better! I tried, without any luck at all! This is just gorgeous and you sure did get a rich emboss from a stencil! WOW!

Beautiful card. I am not at all familiar with the crossover machine but it sounds wonderful. You surely did create a beauty today with your techniques.

WOWZER Priscilla...You always take things to the next level for us! This is amazing...loved reading how you did this. I imagine if I put enough shims in my Big Shot to get this result, I would flatten out my ball bearings...AGAIN! :-) Beautifully designed and executed!
