Today the Teapotters are making bright cards to cheer ConnieJo9, Mutnik's (Cathy) sis. You'll have to read the challenge thread to learn about her run of bad luck. Though I felt bad for her when I read it, I couldn't help but laugh because I could totally relate as it sounded like I was reading a story I wrote about my life! Sad but true, but oh well! Heeee!
Fall is my favorite season and since it brings us such beautiful colors, I decided to make an autumn card to share that with Connie. I added the "thankful" sentiment because I believe that taking stock of and thinking of all we are thankful for--in good times as well as bad times--helps us get through the tough times we encounter. Inside, I think I'm going to stamp an inspirational gratitude message, along with my personal note.
I cased Jo Nevill's card which is on pg 80 in the Autumn Card Maker magazine.
This card is also for last week's WT leaves challenge.
THANKS for looking!

Yay, how good to see you at the tea-party today, Gabby. And what lovely leaves; I've always liked the whimsy of that set.
You're right - it does help to remember the better times. I used a stamp that Ravioli Girl's daughter sent me after Bev died, which says "We do not remember days, we remember moments". I made a sort of hanging with it a couple of years ago when we were having a hard year - but with the Eiffel Tower on it, it reminds me of the things that were worth celebrating in a tough year!

Gorgeous fall colors on your beautiful leaves! Love all the different patterns on the leaves and the DPs and how wonderfully they all go together! The die cut "thankful" is an awesome sentiment and it looks perfectly placed. Great design and now I need to go find my magazine!

Oh Gabby this is simply splendid! Connie is sure to love this uplifting card as the leaves in Colorado change color. I love the square/plaid patterns that you used in your backgrounds too! Your card will surely remind her that despite her current woes that she still has much to be thankful for - including Teapotters!! Thanks so much for coming to Connie's Teaparty...make sure to get some of those dotty eyeglasses 'cause they are yummy! Hugz from NJ.

Gabby I like how you think....making a "Thankfull" kind of card. That is so true. Love the fall colors. If it wasn't for all those wonderful leaves falling into my pools I think fall would be my favorite time too. hehe This is fabulous and sure to help brighten my sister's day. Thank You for playing! I am so sorry you have gone through that lot of stuff as well. It makes one feel even more when you have been through rough times and this pretty colorful card will so help. I LOVE the fall time and we have so many things to be thankful for, it DOES help when times are tough to remember what we DO have...TFs..:0)
