One of the reasons I love the weekly Color Challenges is that they encurage us to step out of our usual comfort zone and try new combos that we might not otherwise use. This week is a great example for me!
Vicki is our hostess this week, and she has given us a beautiful and very unusual color combo, Cajun Craze, Blushing Bride, Pool Party, with the dessert option being to add any green to our creation.
The Cajun Craze reminded me of the color of bricks, so I pulled out my new MFT Brick Stencil and sponged a brick wall. (I would have used my new best friend, embossing paste, but once again this week, I did not have the needed reinker!) Then, with a little creative masking, I grew a trio of flowers behind my brick wall, and airbrushed the sky background.
I sponged just about everything with Cajun Craze!
This card is also for the Fab Friday 49 sketch challenge.
Thanks, Vicki, for a great Color Challenge, and thanks to you for stoping by.

I love your bricks and the little sideways banners - this color combo definitely stretched me but I feel like you balanced it all perfectly! Thanks too for your kind words on my card

Blushing Garden. The perfect name for your sweet and pretty card, Barbara! You may have felt out of your comfort zone, but I only see a color combo that is fresh and soft. I love that!
