This is a page I'm thinking of demoing for a workshop. The photo is the daughter of the hostess. She is from India and I'm having trouble building a suitable page. Still not sure about using the wheel since it is African. I could do the wheel and/or the title in gold embossed. I could put a red layer under the white and photo and under wheel panel. Shoot me some feedback!!!

I think the wheel is good because it is batiky looking to me. I don't know what you could do to jazz it up.
In India, red brings good luck (not to mention it coordinates with her outfit!) so that would be good. Blue, like Taken with Teal, is used a lot, as is gold and black. I say this like an expert because (a) my niece married a young fella from India, and (b) I'm sitting here with a hand painted card from India in my hand... The lady is wearing traditional dress in two shades of red, very much like Ruby Red and Real Red. The background is dark teal blue with a thin black border on a red card. Sorry, but my scanner's broken and it doesn't work to try and take a picture at night...HTH!

Wound up putting a layer of red under the white for the photo and using white ink cartridge straight onto the black for the wheel. Also fastened the vellum on with the mini brads. The hostess and her daughter loved it! And the workshop was pretty good too.
