For Dina's MIX84 Left is Right challenge. When I was commenting on the cards for the WT challenge I was reminded of this stamp which I might possibly never have inked up, so I went in a totally different direction from plan A.
Stamped the image on watercolour paper and coloured the leaves with distress inks. Masked off the centre, spritzed the paper with water, and since I didn't check the tutorial for Dina's sanded pencil background, it was only after I started shaving sprinkles with my knife that I remembered she had used a sanding block. Still - it gave me a similar effect and an extra medium so I am well mixed ;-).
For the base I used DTP with tea dye, vintage photo and weathered wood on kraft. Then I doodled my white lines. Jeepers, do you know how hard it is to use a white gel pen in the wrong hand!! And to work out what angle your hand should be to the paper! Then I embossed it and sponged the edges with walnut stain. The leaf was cut from a scrap of background some time ago, I added it to go with the autumn leaf theme and to get rid of it. If I tell the truth - it wasn't even in my scrap box, it was on the floor. Image panel popped up on foam dots.

Wow, Sabrina, you sure rose to this difficult occasion, and did it with pizzazz - left handing it with your white gel pen, and finding things on the FLOOR!! You make me smile!!

This is such a cool, rustic design! I had to laugh about how to position the paper - that was tricky. That poor, leaf went from ignored on the floor to a place of honor on SU - it finally found it's destiny.

Super rustic looking card, Sabrina!! Your main image looks awesome, great technique, and the bg fabulous with the distressed ink and your doodling!! I, too, doodled with a white gel pen and found I was pretty ordinary at it LOL!!
