Today's Clean and Simple challenge is a theme: Team Spirit. Since it's Labor Day I couldn't resist making another summer card (after all, summer doesn't officially end until Sept. 21st, and I'm taking every minute of it I can!).
These girls appear to be all dressed up for a dance, and seem to be sitting on a dock. In my mind, they are at a country club dance and are taking a break, dangling their feet in the cool water of the lake, and chattering about the dance, their boyfriends, etc. etc. I only know of country clubs from books, but the period of this stamp (early to mid '50's?) brings to mind that era to me.

Wonderful retro card, Claudia....and how you presented it, it gives the viewer an opportunity to spin their own story. Love the "boardwalk" bg and the soft colors to give the vintage feeling.

Oh! I love your interpretation of the image! I am thinking Dirty Dancing now!!!

I like the woodgrain base to further emphasize the country dance!
