This is for both the MMTPT317 and the fan club monthly theme - "am I babbling". First, all the lovely ladies of the sisterhood of the traveling tea party have been sending fabric, lace, ribbons and sewing supplies to Dixy and Daisy so they can make gorgeous dresses for the big harvest dance. Well, the dresses are done and here they are walking to the big old barn where the dance is being held. Daisy is carrying a beautiful flower basket to decorate the desert table...she is so great at flower arranging (actually, this was a large stamp that I "snrunk" to fit using the printer). Dixie is carefully carrying a teapot filled with her special pumpkin tea...a huge favorite among the townsfolk. Oh, poor Dixie and Daisy. While they were busy arranging their gorgeous hair ribbons, those cute twins, Luke and Rowdy, snuck into the kitchen and added a secret ingredient of their own- a big dose of moonshine. Fast Scarlet has been sneaking moonshine since she was 13, but we all know about Scarlet. The rest of the lovely people of Small Meadows just don't drink. Oh boy and howdy doo, this is going to be a harvest dance for the record books.
The CT0814 is to use babbling as a theme. My sister and I shared a room growing up, and you nevet saw 2 girls talk like us. When I finished this card it reminded me of when I was 7 and my sister was 8. Gracie, a sweet elderly lady who would baby sit on Saturday nights when my parents went out. At 8 0'clock the world came to a screeching halt while Grace stared mesmerized at the TV, tapping her foot and humming to the Lawrence Welk show. My sister and I would run to the "costume closet" and put on old party dresses that my mom kept there for us to play in. We would waltz, fox trot, and polka all around the room- well, we mostly rolled on the rug and giggled. What fun old memories. TFL, Francie

So cute. Love the images and the embossing of the trees.
How neat that this reminded you of happy times with your sister. My sis was 5 yrs older than me and she never wanted me around. Maybe I was a brat. LOL

Loved your write-up, love your card. I really like hearing the back-story behind cards when something has inspired them. The sense of dimension and depth in this is amazing, Francie, with that path heading off into the distance and your wonderful embossed trees. And how prettily you have dressed Daisy and Dixie for the dance - I especially like whichever is the one with flowers - I see that's Daisy.

Oh wow Francie, I can't decide what I love best, your card, your teapot tale or the story about your childhood. All three are wonderful. I could sit and look at your terrific card for hours. Straight into My Favs my friend.

Great story and I love your card. That really brought back some memories, I also had a sweet old baby sitter who liked to watch Lawrence Welk and we also had a tickle trunk.

Oh, Francie, your story is absolutely DARLING! You had me giggling and remembering when I was a young girl (I'm the oldest of four girls). And I remember so well dressing up using old clothes in a trunk with fun clothes and all sorts of things, like a fur wrap with several foxes (eeew! when I think of it now - LOL!). Oh, what a tale you can spin, and what a beautiful card and such a delight to my eyes!! And it's perfect for this month's "Am I babbling?" theme!! So glad you joined in this us!! What fun!! Hugs, sweet friend!
