FINALLY! I am home from the Forest-7 LONG days away from my craft room!!!
Today is my first day back and I'm all-in for the inspiration challenge! Watercolor! You KNOW how much I love my watercolor!!
As much as I like Tim Holtz watercolor paper, I find it doesn't hold up if you're doing repeated washes. Hence the sequins (which I would usually refrain from using on such a rustic card) and their placement. Anyone have any advice? Or should I just plan to stick to my heavy duty paper when doing repeated washes???
At any rate, LOVE the challenge and was delighted with my pumpkins. LORD, I'm SO HAPPY TO BE HOME!!!

I bet you're glad to be back in your craft room, LOL. I've never tried the TH paper so I can't offer an opinion - I use Daler Rowney, Fabriano and Winsor & Newton .
But whatever your problems this looks great. Sure, you have the cork and the kraft base, but your image layer is so clean and crisp that I wouldn't call it rustic and I think the sequins look great.
They always look great on other people's cards - just not on mine.

Welcome home... glad you are back in the gallery... your watercolouring of these lovely pumpkins is wonderful.... love the sequins on your card also and the single word which would qualify this for the F4A235 challenge yesterday....sorry I can't help with the TH situation as I have never used it before... I always use Strathmore 140 lb with winsor & newton watercolour paints

I'm a huge fan of clean, clean cards with pops of colour and this one is a BEAUTY!! I love your pumpkins with the cork framing. I like to use the real thick, thick watercolour paper but it's generally so expensive. :(

Love it! I have always love pumpkins and fall colors. This is super. Love the clean crisp feel and the sequins look great, because they aren't colored and just add the nicest touch of sparkle.

Carmen, your pumpkins are terrific! And I happen to love the sequins. I'm actually a fan of cheap water color paper, lol. The pads in the kids' section are thinner & smoother but actually hold up to a lot of water. It may help to let it dry a bit between layers of water But hey...if you don't like it at first, keep doing more...that's my motto!
