Happy Saturday everyone. I made this for a couple of challenges. Today's Inspiration challenge. Here is the water coloured sea horse image that inspired me Sea Horse art gold
I stamped the image with stazon jet black ink. Water coloured with stampin up inks - summer sun, more mustard and close to cocoa - using an aqua painter and ink from my ink pads. Cut out masks for the sea horse and sentiment. Stamped my large acrylic block with tempting turquoise ink. Srayed with blue shimmer mist and stamped over the image panel. Let dry. Replaced the masks and stamped on the coral with stazon jet black ink. Stamped the sentiment (the good life) coloured words and the background. Cut the sentiment and placed in the corner. Matted with black cardstock. Created the bottom blue panel used my acrylic block and blue ink and shimmer mist. Assembled the card and sewed around edges.
I have been collecting sea glass with my sister (Valerie-Raye) and my grand daughters (Kylana and Kaylee). I was trying to think of ways to use the sea glass - I used my crystal effects to glue some on my card. I am really happy with how this turned out.
This is also for the Ways to Use it challenge - Spritz or spray..
Hugs..Pat

Pat, this is just wonderful. I've always loved seahorses and have been looking at that set! Your use of the sea glass here is brilliant. I have to say that I think anything I've ever picked up here is probably too big to use on a card, or else I'd definitely be trying something like this. The brown glass colours especially are perfect to go with the seahorse. It makes me think of the sand and pebbles in an aquarium - or, I suppose, the sea bed.
