For this card I went for warm colors and a very classic design. I used Gina K. Designs' Little Things Duo stamp set, that I recently got from the store. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers from various sets (Browns, Pale Hues, Essentials). To create that contour shading on the bird, I simply used the blender to remove all the browns I had colored it with first. I did use the softer tones of browns mostly. Also I sponged both the image and the card itself with Distress Ink in Old Paper.
For the front of my card, I stamped handwriting fragments very roughly with Distress Ink in Old Paper and I heat embossed some in gold. The I die cut a circle to create a window on the center. Next I dry embossed the front, to add texture. And finally I added all the embellishments. I embellished the card with paper cord, gross grain ribbon, burlap ribbon and a vintage button. I finished my design with a heat embossed gold sentiment on vellum, that I adhered from the inside of the front of the card.
