Sometimes the planets must align and great minds think alike since today's two challenges couldn't have been closer together....both called for stencils. The CAS was to just use a stencil and the TLC called for a special way to use a stencil. Read those instructions HERE.
Instead of sponging on more color to fill in the spaces after I was done stamping, I used a baby wipe to clean my stencil while it was still in position and that filled in those vacant areas easily. After I removed the stencil, I did sponge on some additional ink on the lower tree trunks so that the deer would stand out. Added the die cut deer and a snow base then accented some elements with the silver glitter glue.

Love your stencilled panel Sallie! The concentric circles of circles remind me a bit of the flare you get with some camera lenses. Makes me feel that I have just come upon this deer in the woods with my camera ready (for a change!) These colours are so soothing and wintery. This is a beautiful card!

Sallie, this is just so pretty. I love your stenciled BG. Makes me think of the winter wind blowing through the forest with the added benefit of catching a glimpse of one stray deer. A wonderful winter theme.

Such an extraordinary background, Sallie ~ you've achieved wonderful depth and interest. And that die cut deer in white is perfect. Straight into my faves.
