My boss asked me to make a farewell card for our consultant, who is leaving this week for a new job with a nice promotion. Looking through the gallery this week, I was inspired by this cutie by stampersandee. I thought that Dr. Seuss quote was just perfect! I knew right away I wanted to go with that theme, and decided to CASE this card I made awhile back for a friend's birthday.
I kept it one layer, but changed to a regular A2 card, rather than a square card. I moved the sentiment and skipped the bling. Also, instead of trying to do my rays ad hoc, I opted to use a sun ray stencil Loll Thompson had gifted me, sponging the dandelion rays and then using post-it tape to mask those rays and fill in the remaining ones with cantaloupe ink. Used a Copic multi-liner to create the border of my image.
The sentiment was computer generated using the free "A Little Sunshine" font.

Oh I LOVE this! I do have this stamp so if I can find the sentiment I've got it. Just so sweet and touching for a few different occasions. The rays of sunshine are so uplifting.

I absolutely adore this card - everything about it is perfect from the vivid main image to the sun ray bg and the placement of each element! Thanks for playing along in the DTGD challenges, Debbie!

LOOOOOOVE me the Snoopy image! This is awesome! Thanks for gettin' Dirty with me! (And sorry for the delay in commenting...I was out of town all weekend!)
What a wonderful, happy and positive card! I love the way you've combined Snoopy and Dr. Seuss, and yet your card still feels mature and sincere, not just cute. Very inspiring!
