For Inspiration Challenge IC453, I was inspired by this Vintage Brown Suitcase that displays a photo and a ruffled doily scarf.
I stamped my image and then distressed the edges before mounting it on a scalloped black rectangle. Added a doily behind the image and a strip of some dp that reminds me of flocked wallpaper that used to hang in everyone's house! Added some bakers twine and some paper flowers to finish it off.

What a COOL vintage card, love it!!! The details especially in the kraft color really add to the distressed quality. Beautiful!!!!

Laurie, a beautiful vintage card. Got a laugh from your flocked wallpaper remark. : ) Lovely image set off by feminine details such as lace, mauvy flower and pretty twine. Your distressing is a nice finishing detail.

I grew up in the house my Dad lived in from when he was 3 years old. Definitely know the feel you are going for here! ...and your details are bang on. Love the doily and the image with the amazing hat. I have a porcelain hat pin holder hanging on my bedroom wall that was my grandmother's. This is a wonderful card!
