I couldn't wait to play along with today's Mixability challenge - shimmering watercolor. I have loads of the gorgeous shimmering twinkling H2Os but I am not always confident about using them and this gave me another "excuse" to pull them out! In fact I made TWO cards to add to the stack of 25 my mom has requested.
For this one I kept it super simple (maybe too simple in hindsight...) - I simply pulled out several colors, let them wake up with some water for a bit and then I misted my cardstock and brushed the colors on and dried it. Then I stamped this beautiful silhouette image on. I also made my patterned horizontal strip - I painted the cardstock and then misted on some yellow shimmer through a stencil. To tone down the shimmer a bit I stamped with bubble wrap and a plastic lid using acrylic paints. I finished it off with a Studio G $1 sentiment and some glittering skittles. You can see the shimmer much better in real life!
