I'm taking the OCC "stretching your stamps" and our fist technique is using a background stamp in different ways. Embossed the HA stamp and then watercolored, sprayed with shimmer spritz for some sparkle and shine, then cut off a panel to adhere to the card front. Also die cut some flowers from white, embossed those for texture, and used some circles from the embossed/watercolored cs for the flower centers. Assembled, popped up the flowers and added enamel dots.
Lesson learned: Although I like how this turned out, this technique is more effective when the background stamp is primarily lines (very little solid area) because the white embossed sections do get colored by some of the paint and the white doesn't pop as much as I'd like.
