This is for Heather's DGTD challenge.
It hasn't quite worked - but I couldn't pull the sentiment off. Maybe gold stickles around the edge would help. I always need birthday cards for BRAK so it will certainly get used.
It was my first time using Heat & Stick, so I was reluctant to try with my gilding flakes and used glitter instead. Why did I never realise how amazing this stuff is!!!! I stamped Blush on black card with Versamark, embossed with the Heat & Stick and sprinkled with gold glitter. Cut with Curvy Rectangles, embossed with Swiss dots and edged with gold, then matted onto a back rectangle. I wanted some colour so I added the butterflies, which are cut from an old scrap of experimental watercolour technique (like 9 or 10 years old!!). I added the sentiment, with another butterfly cut using the embosslits (double-sided adhesive stuck to thin card, then I removed the back sheet and burnished with glitter). Kraft base embossed with Polka Dots and defined with a black marker.
Ho hum on the card but yay for discovering how brilliant Heat & Stick is - so thank you, Heather!
