First I embossed the poppy in white and then colored it with intense pencils. After coloring with these pencils, you go over it with a wet paintbrush and the color comes alive. Then I masked the poppy and stamped the background stamp over it. Adhered to my card base and added sentiment flag. The colored pencils did get a little bit on the white embossing but I was able to touch it up with a white gel pen! Added some stickles for shimmer.
